Google’s latest version of Google Maps shall be made available in offline modus as well for all Android users. This of course is great news if you’re one of those smartphone owners that doesn’t have an internet subscription but DOES have wifi and compass installed like me .

Google users will have to download a map of the designated area prior to navigating offline. Iphone users can also use the options via the app.

Brian McClendon of Google about the new options :

‘People have asked us about the possibility to use our maps offline on their smarthpones. Today we’re announcing that Google Maps offline is on it’s way. ‘Consumers will be able to use maps of more than 100 countries offline’.
