Take heed, for The Amazing Spider-Man is slated to conquer the world in a new carnation. This is not a follow-up to the Sam Raimi-directed versions, but a remake of earlier releases that reveals the “untold story” of Spider-Man. Featuring a leading role by Andrew Garfield (from The Social Network), we find ‘our friendly neighbourhood spider-man’ exploring the truth about his parents and his struggle with a double identity. (might seem familiar for adopted kids or who have multicultural identities?)
Set to release for the 3rd of July, we’ll also be able to get acquainted with Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker’s early girlfriend (played by Emma Stone), accompanied by Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Denis Leary and Rhys Ifans as The Lizard, Spider-Man’s greatest counterpart for action filled scenes.
